From Farm to Table

This is the neatest concept and I so wish the Dallas stop on the tour was not already sold out.  Jim Denevan created Outstanding In The Field, a "roving culinary adventure - literally a restaurant without walls".  His red bus goes from town to town setting up a long linen-draped table in the middle of fields, on mountain tops, and in sea caves.  Diners are invited to experience meals made with local ingredients prepared by a celebrated chef from the area.  After a tour of the site, everybody sits down to eat at the long communal table - the farmers, producers, culinary artisans, and the diners.  Maybe next year...
